Wolf monitoring preliminary results and sampling success presented in Slovenia

Without the cooperation of many foresters, hunters and other volunteers, the collection of non-invasive genetic samples for wolf population monitoring would not have been possible. In addition to regular communication during active sample collection, it is also crucial to provide feedback to all those who are operating in the field. To review the latest results of the wolf population monitoring in the 2021/2022 season, and the status of the population in the Alpine area, a presentation was held on 5 October 2023 as part of the educational day for the WPIU members from the Postojna and Tolmin Regional Units, and other regional hunters and foresters who are involved in the field work.
