Schoolchildren from Slovenia visited Snežnik forests

18 August 2021
Slovenia Forest Service

In the beginning of August, Slovenia Forest Service organized another outdoor workshop for primary school children. This time they took the children from Notranjska to visit the large carnivore habitats on Snežnik area. In the best classroom – nature they learned all about wolf, bear and lynx, and how they co-exist in Snežnik forests. One of the most popular exercises was learning how to speak “wolf language” – walk quietly on a forest path and at the end howl with the view on the Snežnik Mountain. Some impressions from the outdoor workshop are available in the gallery.
